Elite Consultancy Network are exclusively working with a super unique company who due to growth, are now looking for an Area Sales Manager to head up the entire North-West region. This role would ideally suit someone who is an expert at building new relationships and managing the ongoing success of customer accounts, with strong account management skills across the construction equipment sector. You will focus on growing your territory (Manchester and surrounding areas) through your exceptional new business development skills and maximise sales utilising your already established networks of contacts. What is on offer? • The opportunity to work with a well-established and ever-growing company who have a strong reputation in the sectors it operates for industrial, plant, construction and agricultural equipment• Career progression, competitive salary and benefits, training and professional development and a company car, laptop, phone and expense account• Working for a company who offer a modern-day approach to employee-engagement and is truly market disrupting with their product and service offerings What will you do? • Successfully identifies, penetrate and close business opportunities to a successful end, including additional sales opportunities Experience liaising with stakeholders at all levels Proven sales success with a minimum of 2 years experience in the Construction, Agriculture, Transport sector or related industries • Actively develops a network of new customer relationships with both new and existing clients. •Manage the full 360 sales cycle from initial lead generation right through to successful closure of deals and ongoing account management and development with new and existing customers • Maintains an accurate database of all customer contact details at all times • Takes ownership for customer complaints, remains the point of contact and resolves these to a satisfactory conclusion • Consistently achieve sales and profitability targets • Maintains an excellent relationship with suppliers ensuring that the correct specifications for an order are delivered to the customer • Works closely with the Sales office organisation and other departments to maximise results and relationships What do you need? • Previous success and experience in a similar role within the construction industry (i.e. plant and/or hire) is essential • A genuine passion for machinery sales and the heavy construction industry • Experience in conducting regular machine demonstrations is advantageous • Flexible approach to work and able to easily service the North East territory • Tenacious attitude with a constant consideration for the brand • Demonstrable skills in negotiation and selling • Outstanding communication skills and can demonstrate how this has been used effectively across team and customer relationships
