Behaviour Teaching Assistant Kensington & Chelsea Full Time LTF Recruitment specialise in long term and permanent recruitment for all teaching and support staff. We support in finding dream jobs in our local schools across the UK. We are currently looking for Teaching Assistants to support students with complex behaviour across KS1 & KS2. This includes working on a 121 basis with a variety of children to manage behaviours and support their learning. You will be working alongside class teachers, support staff and school SENCOs to deliver engaging, practical sessions for a small group of students. The role would be full time across 5 days a week starting in March 2022 for the full academic year. For the right candidate, this opportunity may become permanent with the school. The school have high expectations of the staff they work with to create an 'outstanding' school environment. To Support students who have a statement of Special Educational Needs: cognition and learning; emotional and behavioural difficulties. To assist the class teacher and other staff in carrying out an appropriate planned programme of work to meet the needs of the particular children enabling him/her to reach full potential. To assist the child's integration into the rest of the class/group. To encourage and support the learning process of the child both on a one-to-one basic and within a group. To assist in the monitoring of the child's performance and to report progress. To provide feedback to enhance the child's self-esteem and to encourage acceptable behaviour. To provide alternative differentiated tasks for statemented students when appropriate. To help the child to focus his/her attention and keep on the task. To use techniques of reward and time out as part of a behavioural programme. To liaise with parents/carers where appropriate To support and implement school behaviour policy.
