Business Support Officer, Taxi licensing team, Sandwell, Up to £11 Your new company We are proud to be supporting Sandwell's regulatory services team . Based in Waterfall Lane Depot, this team specialises in taxi licensing, working to cater individuals in and around Sandwell to provide the best service possible. Due to an increase in workload, we are currently in partnership with Sandwell council to recruit a temporary licensing officer. Your new role This fulfilling role makes you responsible in supporting the front-line work of the operational service. You will be dealing with the public within front line capacity ensuring you handle all queries that may come from the public. You will be expected to advise and guide customers regarding licensing matters by telephone and in person. You will be taking notes at meetings and using your own initiative to contribute towards the hard-working team you will be working alongside with. You will be required to contribute to team meetings and be able to meet your targets and deadlines that are put in place for your personal growth within the company. What you'll need to succeed In this temporary licensing officer job you must be diligent and have attention to detail. You will have experience of dealing with the public as you will be first point of contact whilst answering queries through calls and in person. You will be able to interact positively and communicate effectively with customers on all levels. With this role you should be able to be self motivating to take a proactive approach to your work. As you will be on a busy front line service you should have the ability to organise and prioritise your work. The successful applicant will need to have OCR Level 2 or equivalent in word processing or the ability to showcase an equivalent competency alongside Grade C pass in GCSE English and Maths or an equivalent qualification. Its essential you have at least 12 months of experience working in business support/administrative environment. What you'll get in return This job will entail a temporary contract with the hours of Monday - Thursday 7:45am - 4:15pm and Friday 7:45am - 3:30pm. This role is office-based, so you will be surrounded by a supportive and motivating team allowing a change of environment. You will receive efficient training and support to ensure you are able to work to your best potential.
