Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Nurse Director of the Cardiac Service Line will lead clinical and administrative operations in a fast-paced department with state-of-the-art equipment and a supportive medical and support staff. The department includes two Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) and one Interventional Radiology (IR) Suite, Cardiac Rehab, Vascular, and Coronary Intervention. The Director will be supported by a team of outstanding CVRN Cath Lab Nursing Manager, Assistant Manager in IR, Cardiology and Interventional Radiology (IR) Charge Nurses, supervisors and staff RNs, as well as dedicated stroke and stemi teams that are made of some of the best cardiologists in the Los Angeles area.
The Cardiac Service line Nurse Director will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, supporting the staff's ability to meet patient needs. This will include developing and supporting educational initiatives, serving as a mentor to new leaders, and being a champion for quality improvement throughout the department. The Cardiac Service Line Nurse Director will also take on administrative duties in the department, including oversight and maintenance of the budget, recruitment and retention of staff, and this person will oversee operations.
