In t Job Title: Operations Program Manager Job Description: Mercury Systems specializes in secure mission-critical technology for the military and defense. We are seeking Operations Program Manager OPM for our operations group under Materials and Supply Chain. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on get-it-done individual to contribute to the future growth of the corporation. This position is in Torrance, CA. This role will be a seasoned individual with demonstrated success in representing Operations and Materials, Supply Chain within operation core teams. This role will be the Operations point of contact for all program needs, help drive program team members to meet Operations milestones, and provide weekly status, progress and risk updates to the core team. Drives closure of Operations tasks in support of the life cycle governance process. In this role of Operations Program Manager OPM, you have the opportunity to: Learn and understand Mercurys product lines as it pertains to operations. Become a member of a growing materials group that specializes in electro-mechanical assemblies. Build upon basic understanding of manufacturing. Participate in the manufacturing readiness of New Product Introduction (NPI). Maintain company policies and adhere to ISO9001/AS9100 quality requirements in production coordination efforts. Job Responsibilities: Primary Operations representative to Program team to understand and coordinate Operations program requirements Understand and coordinate Operations and supply chain program requirements Develop and communicate Operations schedule, quality and cost plan to Program Management for inclusion into the integrated program plan and provide timely and accurate status against plan Support sourcing, purchasing, planning, and scheduling the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, supplies and other items to meet new product introduction (NPI) and production ramp up activities. Partner with R&D in the development of NPI projects to support procurement of material from prototype through production. Represents Manufacturing Operations in product development activities and cross-functional team meetings for manufacturing requirements and schedules Manages product transition for NPI to production Drives on-going product cost analysis in support of product cost targets Drive manufacturing readiness reviews across Engineering and Operations functions - Establish and Manage NPI release checklist Assure supply of NPI material at the project level Work closely with Supply Chain and engineering teams to develop sourcing, logistics, and demand plans for prototype and production material Ensure DFx activities to achieve 100% resolution of manufacturing issues Management and communication of NPI schedules with the CM, Engineering, Suppliers, and Operations team Assure Lifecycle Gate deliverable are complete and timely Drive BOM and Drawing reviews to assure accuracy and readiness Work with Engineering, Manufacturing and the factory to ensure all BOMs, Drawings and associated data elements are in place to support planning, procurement, build, and ship processes Work with factory to drive material and build readiness for proto, pre-production, and production ramp builds in adherence to schedule requirements Work with factory to ensure all change activity (ECN,ECP,CCP variances, deviations) are implemented accurately and effectively to support program schedule Identify project risks and recommend appropriate resolutions Ensure project execution within defined budget and timelines Manage and lead scope changes for operations projects Tracks yields and drives corrective actions to achieve quality goals You are a part of: Mercury Systems Torrance Operations Team To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience: Required Education, and Experience, 10+ years relevant experience in an operations/manufacturing environment; hands on-manufacturing experience on a manufacturing floor Minimum of 10+ years working experience in new product introduction / lifecycle roles Experience as a Manufacturing New Product Introduction / Operations Project Management Experience in Defense and Security industry preferred Bachelors degree required;(Program Mgmt. or Technical degree) Understand (interpret) financial summaries, supply chain, cost structure and cost reduction strategies for products. Understand engineering documentation; product development processes to be able to discuss with suppliers. Experience with the development and manufacture of LVHM electromechanical products Detailed knowledge and experience with Suppliers/supply chain Must possess strong knowledge of NPI and D&D processes Must possess strong leadership skills, communication skills, and financial acumen Proven success working in a matrix environment, and leading cross functional teams Experienced in project and program management, efficient with various systems / tools (Deltek Cosptoint ,Oracle, MS Office, MS Project, SharePoint, Jira, Confluence) Why should you join?
