Are you a Quality Engineer who is looking for a new challenge? Do you want to work for growing business that has x2 UK sites and overseas manufacturing facilities that manufacture bespoke products but also the bespoke machinery to manufacture their products. If you have previous experience in high volume precision manufacturing this would be an ideal opportunity for you. The basics: Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm flex office hours Salary: £35,000-£38,000 Location: Hucknall Benefits • 25 holiday days plus bank holidays • Eye test vouchers • Pension scheme • Life insurance • Employee assistance programme (including health) • On-site canteen The role: • To ensure product quality is achieved, maintained, and improved by investigating root causes. • To ensure product quality is achieved, maintained, and improved by implementing effective containment and preventative measures. • To calibrate inspection, measurement, and test equipment. • To generate required FAIRS & PPAP s • To perform product audits as required by company procedures • To assist in the monitoring and development of products, processes, suppliers and sub-contractors • To maintain required records in EFACS • To generate reports into nonconformance investigations to interested parties. • To suggest and assist with improvement recommendations for the department or Company. • To report any hazards or near misses using iAuditor. • To always represent and promote our Company and our values in a positive light in line with Company policies. • To attend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills. The ideal Quality Engineer will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application: • Good mechanical engineering and technical skills • An understanding of large batch high volume manufacturing • Experience with data collection and analysis • Experienced in problem solving techniques (8D) • Good knowledge of Statistical Process Capability (MSA and Gauge R&R) • Be able to perform PFMEA on process and product • Good knowledge of PPAP and its implementation • Good communication skills • Knowledge of special process requirements • Knowledge of 6 Sigma process • HNC in quality or engineering • Structured problem solving / root cause analysis • Good knowledge of inspection and inspection equipment. • Analytical skills • Excellent verbal and communication skills • Commercial awareness • Ability to facilitate change • Negotiation skills • Good people skills • Attention to detail • Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) • Motivated to work alone and be a part of a busy team. • A positive will do attitude • Strong work ethics • Ability to engage with various stake holders within the organisation • Can remain calm under pressure • Enthusiasm and desire to learn Commutable from: Mansfield, Hucknall, Rainworth, Sutton-In-Ashfield, Ilkeston, Heanor, Nottingham and Surrounding Areas.
