Jonathan Lee Recruitment are looking for a Snr. Project Manager for a Global Telecoms company based in Cambridge, the description for the role and skills they are looking for are below. Description Due to continued success, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Project Manager to join the Project Management team. You will manage multiple complex projects delivering business critical product solutions through to manufacturing handover, to demanding schedules and budgets, for mission critical customer applications. As a Senior Project Manager, you will have at least 5 years' experience in managing complex hardware projects ideally for mobile communications solutions, including packages of sub-contracted work. We are looking for experienced Senior Project Manager that can: Be accountable for delivering high visibility technology solutions to time and budget. Demonstrate strong organisational and leadership skills Show willingness and capability to think laterally and pragmatically to find solutions to problems and remove roadblocks. Have confidence to lead others while understanding when to escalate and ask for wider stakeholder input. Demonstrate excellent communication skill (written and verbal) within all levels of a business Apply project management tools and techniques to achieve project objectives, meet schedule deadlines and budget targets. Ensure approaches/techniques are used for building high performing teams, maintaining good team morale and a high level of operating efficiency Demonstrates leadership by promoting trust, interaction and shared commitment within teams Show experience managing external sub-contracted packages of work with design and manufacturing solution providers (ODM and CM's) in Europe and the Far East Incorporate quality into the project delivery Our customer base includes many different industries and markets around the world. Our complete LTE solutions have been developed specifically for users in multiple sectors to face their critical communications challenges. There is no such thing as a typical day here. You will be supported by your manager and team, as well as collaborating with other departments across the business. Project management activities that you will be responsible for include: Planning, Management and leadership of multiple complex projects Manage regular project meetings, ensuring accountability of team members and individuals in the wider business Ensure approaches/techniques are used for building high performing teams, maintaining good team morale and a high level of operating efficiency Ensure personal and team adherence to defined project management processes Capture and manage project risks and opportunities with appropriate planning of mitigations Communicate with stakeholders, ensuring an appropriate escalation of issues Negotiate the availability of project resources with Resource Managers and other Project Managers, ensuring smoothed and optimised resource utilisation Work in partnership with Senior Technical Leads / Architects and Product Managers to deliver industry leading solutions into volume production Responsibilities Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline Training in project management to a project manager level, with accredited certification through IPMA, APM, Prince 2 or IPM or equivalent Experience and Skills 5+ years' experience leading development project teams in a multi-discipline environment on complex product development projects, using Waterfall and Agile methodologies. Knowledge and confidence in managing external design and manufacturing solution providers including those based in the Far East Experience using Statement of Work and Procurement Specifications while engaging with external design and manufacturing solution providers to meet technical and commercial requirements. Nice to have Experience delivering complex manufacturing test solutions Experience with wireless audio and other accessories Experience with externally sub-contracted packages of work Knowledge of LTE, BT, Wi-Fi technologies Qualifications Master's degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline Training in programme management Experience and Skills Product development engineering background in embedded electronic solutions (Electronics, Mechanics, Audio, Conformance) for high performance mission critical products. Documentation of project management processes and an ability to contribute to the maintenance and improvement of existing processes. Wider understanding of product development principles (Electronics, Mechanical, Manufacturing & Test) and methodologies to facilitate best practice for product design and development. Experience working for similar sized organisations and an ability to adjust approach accordingly. Suitably qualified and experienced Snr.
