The S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Approach is a transdisciplinary neurodevelopmental model to assess and treat children and adults with autism. What that means for your loved one is professionally designed and personalized programming that stimulates critical brain changes. When designing each child’s autism treatment program our specialists aim to quickly optimize brain functions by synthesizing only the most effective methods from 7 different theoretical frameworks (Sensory Integration, Model of Human Occupation, Developmental Theory, Gestalt Theory, Information Processing, Social-Pragmatic Theory, and Applied Behavior Analysis). This optimal brain function serves as the necessary foundation for your child to advance in all six areas: Cognition, Language, Fine Motor, Gross Motor, Social-Emotional, and Self Care. The S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Approach provides the tools to directly activate brain functions that support skills like listening, eye contact, self-feeding, communicating, sitting for classwork, and other functional life skills.
The S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Approach lays a solid neurological foundation for your child, which results in an effective bottom-up approach to skill building, rather than the top-down approach commonly seen in strictly educational or behavioral models. This sequential way of building skills aligns with "typical development." According to Ohio autism expert Dr. Lynette Scotese-Wojtila, individuals with autism can learn through natural means when they are treated and educated with The S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Approach featuring the use of the child's just-right methods, and the omission of those contradictory.
